Let Us Remember Those Who Grieve

It is so sad to think of the many people in Alabama and in other states who have lost family and friends in the tornadoes this week.  We must pray for them, and find ways to come to their aid.  I was touched by the story of a Christian father who gave his life while protecting his children.  He is survived by a wife and thirteen children.  We are praying for them all, and for countless others who have been affected by this horrific storm.

Can we all remember to pray regularly for our fellow human beings at this time?  We must never forget that God is in control of all things.  "The LORD exists forever; your word is firmly fixed in heaven.  Your faithfulness endures to all generations; you have established the earth, and it stands fast.  By your appointment they stand today, for all things are your servants.  If your law had not been my delight, I would have perished in my misery.  I will never forget your precepts, for by them you have given me life."  Psalm 119:89-93.

May His love fill our hearts to overflowing, causing us to pray much and to do what we can to help.
